Ricky Lau Lam Tat
Master of Chiropractic (AECC, UK)
T&CMC No: CP-PPB2022/02096
ACM No: ACM-2014-015

Born and bred in Malaysia, Ricky professed to his parents that he will become a doctor in the future at the age of 7. At the age of 16, he witnessed many members of his family and family friends overcoming bodily aches & pains and various other organic disorders through natural chiropractic care, without the use of drugs or surgery. Intrigued by what he had just discovered, he started reading up on the art, science, and philosophy of chiropractic. After completing his pre-university studies, he spent 3 months doing observations in a chiropractic centre, received his first chiropractic adjustment there, and the rest, as they say is history.

He graduated with a Master of Chiropractic (M.Chiro) degree from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in England, the oldest and most established chiropractic institution in Europe. Along with 5 years of chiropractic education on a full scholarship, he gained valuable clinical experience in Bournemouth, England and Glasgow, Scotland before returning to his home country. He then served the Petaling Jaya community and patients from afar for over 6 years, working for one of the biggest chiropractic groups in the region.

Ricky enjoys providing chiropractic care to newborns, children, and pregnant women, as well as the challenge of helping patients with chronic longstanding conditions on the verge of surgery and even those who have experienced failed surgeries.

His mission is to provide honest, ethical, holistic chiropractic care, and deliver the best chiropractic adjustments possible to anyone who chooses to start care at CORRECTIVE CHIROPRACTIC. He advocates that chiropractic is more than just a treatment for spine and joint conditions. Chiropractic is a lifestyle choice which promotes vitality for the fullest expression of life.

Ricky has attended many seminars throughout his chiropractic career and is constantly in touch with professional colleagues abroad to keep abreast of the latest developments in chiropractic and spinal healthcare. Passionate to protect and help advance his beloved profession in the country, he served as a board member in the Association of Chiropractic, Malaysia, (ACM)* for three consecutive terms since its inauguration, including a stint as Vice President from November 2015 to November 2016.

He is happily married with two well-adjusted kids, and when he is not in the practice he spends quality time with his family and friends.

*Association of Chiropractic, Malaysia (ACM) is the peak body representing chiropractic in Malaysia. Clarrisha Hong Kah Wai
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Chiropractic (IMU)
ACM No: ACM-2023-193

With a passion to serve humankind, Clarrisha recognised that her calling was in the healthcare field since she was young. As an avid St. John’s Ambulance first-aider in high school, she always had a profound dedication to helping people and the impact she could have on the wellbeing of others.

Certain about wanting to pursue a career in healthcare, she came across chiropractic while doing some personal research. From her observations with some chiropractors out in the field, she was intrigued by the power of chiropractic care and decided to embark on the chiropractic journey.

Clarrisha obtained her chiropractic degree at the International Medical University (IMU) and graduated with First Class Honours (Dean’s List) in the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Chiropractic degree. During the course of her studies, she served on a mission trip to the Philippines to provide chiropractic care to the less fortunate. The hands-on experience helped to enrich her understanding of the practical applications of chiropractic in diverse settings.

Following graduation from IMU, she worked for several chiropractic clinics in Malaysia for a couple of years before expanding her horizons to take on a role as an associate chiropractor in a well-established chiropractic chain in Hong Kong. This transition marks a significant milestone in her career, where she experienced a different healthcare environment while treating patients from all walks of life. Highly motivated and committed to raising awareness about chiropractic care in the community, she was actively involved in public education through healthcare talks as well as appearing on radio shows on the Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) broadcasting service.

While in Hong Kong, Clarrisha also worked with an international medical group alongside a diverse team of medical specialists and healthcare professionals, gaining valuable insights and experience by serving in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. Having a special interest in treating paediatric patients and women, she dedicated herself to providing chiropractic care to these patient demographics during her tenure in Hong Kong for 5 years.

Upon returning to Malaysia, Clarrisha decided to join CORRECTIVE CHIROPRACTIC as it is a professional environment which resonates with her values and goals as a chiropractor. Embracing similar vision and philosophy, she is continuously committed to providing high quality chiropractic care to all Malaysians and to elevate the standards of chiropractic care in Malaysia.
