Ricky Lau
M.Chiro (UK)
Doctor of Chiropractic
(Registration No.: ACM-015)

Born and bred in Malaysia, Ricky professed to his parents that he will become a doctor in the future at the age of 7. At the age of 16, he witnessed many members of his family and family friends overcoming bodily aches & pains and various other organic disorders through natural chiropractic care, without the use of drugs or surgery. Intrigued by what he had just discovered, he started reading up on the art, science, and philosophy of chiropractic. After completing his pre-university studies, he spent 3 months doing observations in a chiropractic centre, received his first chiropractic adjustment there, and the rest, as they say is history.

He graduated with a Master of Chiropractic (M.Chiro) degree from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in England, the oldest and most established chiropractic institution in Europe. Along with 5 years of chiropractic education on a full scholarship, he gained valuable clinical experience in Bournemouth, England and Glasgow, Scotland before returning to his home country. He then served the Petaling Jaya community and patients from afar for over 6 years, working for one of the biggest chiropractic groups in the region.

Ricky enjoys providing chiropractic care to newborns, children, and pregnant women, as well as the challenge of helping patients with chronic longstanding conditions on the verge of surgery and even those who have experienced failed surgeries.

His mission is to provide honest, ethical, holistic chiropractic care, and deliver the best chiropractic adjustments possible to anyone who chooses to start care at CORRECTIVE CHIROPRACTIC. He advocates that chiropractic is more than just a treatment for spine and joint conditions. Chiropractic is a lifestyle choice which promotes vitality for the fullest expression of life.

Ricky has attended many seminars throughout his chiropractic career and is constantly in touch with professional colleagues abroad to keep abreast of the latest developments in chiropractic and spinal healthcare. Passionate to protect and help advance his beloved profession in the country, he served as a board member in the Association of Chiropractic, Malaysia, (ACM)* for three consecutive terms since its inauguration, including a stint as Vice President from November 2015 to November 2016.

He is happily married with one beautiful well-adjusted daughter, and when he is not in the practice he spends quality time with his family and friends.

*Association of Chiropractic, Malaysia (ACM) is the peak body representing chiropractic in Malaysia. It is a member of the Federation of Complementary & Natural Medical Associations, Malaysia (FCNMAM) – a practitioner body appointed by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia (Traditional & Complementary Medicine Division).

Eugene Gan
BSc (Hons) Chiro
Doctor of Chiropractic
(Registration No.: ACM-121)

Having always aspired to be in the medical profession, it was not until the age of 19 that Eugene found himself at a crossroads of having to choose between a career of a medical doctor or a doctor of chiropractic. Growing up in an environment where natural, healthy living was a priority, and being a firm believer of engaging the body’s ability to heal itself without drugs and surgery, it wasn’t a surprise when he decided to pursue the latter.

Eugene graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chiropractic degree from the International Medical University (IMU). During his time in university, he was involved in various sporting events where chiropractic care was provided to participants and coaches. The greatest milestone during his time as a chiropractic student was when he embarked on a chiropractic mission trip in Manila, Philippines. During the 2-week period, he provided chiropractic care to approximately 200 patients from various backgrounds, ranging from people who lived in slums to socialites, as well as Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Upon graduation, he served in a renowned chiropractic centre in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur before relocating to Kota Kemuning.

Eugene believes that patient education and patient empowerment are essential to achieve optimal health outcomes. He knows that patients have to be as convicted as him in the power of chiropractic for them to experience the fullest potential chiropractic has to offer to their health.

As an avid sports fan, Eugene enjoys treating those who are physically active. He finds it rewarding to witness how chiropractic can help them quickly recover from injuries and perform at a higher level in the most natural way possible. He indulges in mixed martial arts (MMA) , futsal, and badminton outside of working hours. He is also a strong advocate on the role of good nutrition and how it enhances the ability of our body to function at its optimal capacity. He is constantly finding ways to eat healthier in the most practical way possible.
